What is heating bend?

Heating bend is a processing technology that heats metal pipes at high temperatures to make them soft and then bends them into the desired shape. The metal pipe is heated to the plastic deformation temperature (usually 800-1000°C), and then the straight pipe heated to the plastic state is bent using a robotic arm or special pipe bending equipment to form a bent pipe with a specific arc and angle. During this process, parameters such as heating temperature, bending speed, bending angle, and cooling rate need to be precisely controlled to ensure that the quality, shape, and size of the bent pipe meet the design requirements. Heating bend technology is suitable for manufacturing pipes with complex shapes, large diameters, and thick walls. It can effectively avoid common problems such as material stress concentration and fracture during the cold bending process.

The reason why heating bend can stand out among many pipe connecting parts processes is due to its unique process characteristics and significant advantages:

Wide range of applications

The heating bend process is suitable for various metal materials, especially materials that are difficult to cold bend, such as thick-walled pipes, alloy steel pipes, etc. It can meet the strict requirements for pipe bending in different fields.

Improve material utilization

Because the heating bend can be bent at a larger angle at high temperatures and is less likely to produce cracks and wrinkles, it reduces material waste and improves material utilization.

Reduce residual stress

The heating bend process can effectively release the stress inside the material during the bending process and reduce the generation of residual stress, thus extending the service life of the pipe.

High accuracy and consistency

Because the hot simmering bend uses special molds and equipment, it can achieve high-precision bending, ensure the consistency of each batch of products, and can meet the high standard requirements in industrial applications.
